The Fall of Eagles / Somewhere Between Darkness and Light

The Fall of Eagles / Somewhere Between Darkness and Light Review

The Fall of Eagles Suite:
At the start of the First World War three great dynastic houses dominated Europe: the Hapsburgs of Austria-Hungary, the Hohenzollerns of Germany, and the Romanovs of Russia. By the end of the war, all three houses had been deposed. This musical triptych represents the fall of each house: 'Sarajevo' (the Hapsburgs), 'Potsdam' (the Hohenzollerns), and 'Yekaterinburg' (the Romanovs). 'The Fall of Eagles' is a reminder that no one is immune to the horrors of war.

Somewhere Between Darkness and Light:
A musical journey of mystery and introspection, from the depths of despair to the euphoria of grace. 'Zarathustra was Wrong' begs the question who has the final say over what is right and wrong? '.000001' explores how hope, no matter how small, can achieve great things. 'Eternal is the Fretless Soul' is the triumph of the ultimate goal: peace of mind borne from a perpetual state of grace. Somewhere between darkness and light is where the truth of life exists.
